Lawn Care in St Albans

We are a small independent garden maintenance company offering both existing customers and new customers a lawn care service of the highest quality.

Are you happy with the condition of your lawn?

Can we improve the condition of your exiting lawn?

In the majority of cases a lawn can be saved and is the far cheaper option than completely replacing the lawn and will have exactly the same outcome - a beautiful lawn.

Step 1

Firstly, we apply fertiliser/weed killer and leave on the lawn for two weeks.

Step 2

Then we cut the grass very short and scarify the lawn.

We carry three different types of machines for this purpose with us at all times.
depending on your lawns condition we can quickly decide which machine is best suited
to your lawns needs.

In order to maintain and improve an existing lawn, which is in fairly good condition, we have
mechanical lawn rakers.

For a lawn in average condition, we have floating blade scarifiers.

For a lawn in bad to very bad condition, we have fixed blade scarifiers.

Using these machines to scarify your lawn will allow air to get to the grass roots and
at the same time prune the roots. This process encourages a much more finely branched root
system, allowing grass to absorb nutrients and water. It also removes dead and decaying grass and moss from lawn, after which, all debris will be removed from the lawn and disposed of.

Step 3 (optional for very bad conditioned lawn)

Top dressing 50/50 mix of peat and sand applied to lawn surface and overseeding.

The combination of the new seeding and the new growth from your existing old lawn
will transform into a better condition, thicker lawn.
